Please use this resource CONFERENCE APPEALS CALENDAR to guide your mission giving in your local church. Dates for 2024 & 2025 are listed.
The Peninsula-Delaware Conference provides this appeals calendar for use by local churches for mission giving. Use this calendar to plan for:
+ The six special Sundays of the United Methodist Church- Human Relations, UMCOR, Native American, Peace with Justice, World Communion, and Student Day.
+ The Pen-Del approved Conference appeals- PLCRA, Deaf Awareness, Camp Pecometh, PenDel Student Scholarship, Disaster/VIM, and Africa University.
+ Churches are encouraged to raise funds in advance and bring them to Conference. This year’s appeal will support Board of Ordained Ministry Scholarships, the Central Congo Partnership, and the local offering will go to Salisbury Urban Ministries.
Congregations may decide to receive special offerings on each of these days. They may also choose to include special Sundays as a part of their missions budget. Creativity is encouraged; there is no one way to support these missions.
